In a day and age when the majority of businesses want to expand, increase profits, and build empires, Fidelity K9 wants to stay small.
The founder (Steve) never intended for Fidelity K9 to be a large company. He always envisioned he would stay connected to his customers and their dogs. However, the need has been so great that this has become a nearly impossible goal. We will continue to train great dogs but on a smaller, more manageable scale. Consequently, effective February 1, 2025, Fidelity K9 will be run entirely out of Steve’s family home. The training will be performed in the original space where it all began.
Unfortunately, as a part of this change we will no longer be able to offer grooming services. We will continue to do groom training in order to help great dogs have better, more relaxed grooming and veterinary care experiences.
Through the years we have held fast to our commitment, training thousands of great dogs. We’ve trained service dogs for military veterans, therapy dogs who work in hospitals and senior care facilities, protection and sport dogs, and countless family dogs.
Dogs don't speak humanese so we need to establish a good method of Communication.
Our training is motivational at its core! They know good things come from us. We will wean them off of treats so effective praise will be their only reward.
We want to teach your dog they can trust us. Then they will know that we will reward only good behavior.
Therapy dogs are used as a part of a team. That team consists of a handler and their dog. These teams can bring comfort and compassion into the lives of shut-ins, people at assisted living places, hospitals and schools. Fidelity K9 can help you achieve this goal of becoming certified with the Alliance of Therapy Dogs
" The companionship of a therapy dog facilitates real chemical changes in the body of the patient. It has been proven that most patients with therapy dog experiences have lower stress levels, increased calmness and happiness, and are less likely to feel lonely or forgotten. " -Alliance of Therapy dogs-
